Local Authors are just as foundational as local independently owned bookstores. We are very proud to host events here at Swallow Stories Bookshop that support talented writers.
Please review the following guidelines to be considered for our shelves.
We will not carry books published through Amazon
Self publishing or publishing through Ingram Spark are highly recommended.
If you are self published, it is preferred that your book is available through Ingram. Otherwise, our consignment agreements are on 50/50 basis.
Under no circumstances are AI writing or illustrations accepted.
Using AI to write a book is an insult to the craft of story telling. Have more faith in your own skill as a writer and watch what comes of your own creativity.
We prioritize debut signings
While there are exceptions to this rule, we want to provide platforms to the authors who are new in the industry.
We look forward to hosting your author signing event!
We receive many inquiries for events, so we ask for your patience. If you do not hear from us within a week of your submission, please send a follow up email!
